Welcome to Minden Township

Minden Township is located in the southwest corner of Benton County, MN.

Geographically, the northeast half of the city of St. Cloud and the east quarter of the city of Sauk Rapids are within Minden Township but are separate entities.

The township has a total area of 33.9 square miles, of which 33.7 square miles is land and 0.12 square miles, or 0.29%, is water.

The population was 1,514 as of the 2020 census. Minden Township was organized in 1858.

As of 2025, there are 5 members of the board. 3 elected supervisors as required by Minnesota Statute § 367.03, one appointed clerk and one appointed Treasurer per Minnesota Statute § 367.11.
